Boys & Girls Travel Team Evaluations (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 Birth Years)

The Great Neck Soccer Club, one of Long Island’s premier soccer programs, has been showcasing competitive boys and girls travel soccer teams since 2000.  Starting the week of June 6th, the Club will be holding evaluations for our Fall 2017/Spring 2018 Girls and Boys Travel Soccer Teams.  The Club's intention with these evaluations is to add travel ready players to our Girls and Boys Travel Teams.

TRAVEL TEAM ELIGIBILITY
Travel Soccer Teams are broken up by age groups (ex: U9, U10, U11, etc.), which are based on a player’s birth year (ex: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, etc.).  Determining the age group your son/daughter would qualify to play on this Fall is fairly simple:  Year Season Ends – Player’s Birth Year = Eligible Age Group.  For example, if your son/daughter is born in 2009 he/she would qualify to play on a U9 team this Fall:  2018 (Year Season Ends) – 2009 (Player’s Birth Year) = U9 Age Group.

Based on the current needs of our Girls Teams, here are the Girls’ Age Groups eligible for evaluation:

  • U9/U10 Girls Age Group (White Storm):  Girls born in 2008 & 2009
  • U11 Girls Age Group (Green Storm):  Girls born in 2007
  • U12 Girls Age Group (Dragonflies or Lady Strikers):  Girls born in 2006

Based on the current needs of our Boys Teams, here are the Boys’ Age Groups eligible for evaluation:

  • U9 Boys Age Group (Green Rockets & Cannonballs):  Boys born in 2009
  • U10 Boys Age Group (Warriors & Volcanoes):  Boys born in 2008
  • U11 Boys Age Group (Coyotes & Fire & Scorpions):  Boys born in 2007
  • U12 Boys Age Group (Galaxy & Grizzlies):  Boys born in 2006
  • U13 Boys Age Group (Dragons & Dragons White):  Boys born in 2005
